Well, here is my third attempt at doing my own vocals.  If your gonna write songs and don’t have a singer, you do what you can. At least with this song I...

This song has a major 80's feel to it. I hope you don't mind the Styx comparison again, but DAMN - this could be a long lost Paradise Theatre track. Very cool music break in the middle! The mix sounds great on this - I am going to this song as a reference for a mix after I click submit! BTW, Great tune!

I'm liking this, and actually I think the vocal is pretty darn good! I like the timbre of your voice - I think it sits very well in this kind of production, cuts through the mix very nicely. I agree with the point made previously about the inherent value of singing your own words. Often another singer doesn't always fully connect. On a technical note I did think the bass/bottom-end sounded a little too rounded and ill-defined and could perhaps benefit from some more edge and punch. Compelling listening all the same!

This is a very well written song. You vocals are quite good I can only wish I had a song like this on my third try. As a singer myself I think you have what it takes my friend. Also it is so much easier to get the emotion across when you sing what you have written rather than have to trust that a another singer is going to get what you meant. The guitar work and production are great. A pleasure to listen. Keep on singing.

Hi DG, great song! I saw your influences include Tommy Shaw and Sting. I want to compliment you in capturing both their vocal/musical styles in your approach to this song, nice job! Two great influences to have for sure. Your voice sounds good so no need for another singer, you already have him and I'm sure he works cheaply, lol!

This is a very fine song! Lot's of interesting twists and turns in a progressive rock type sound. Your vocals, despite your comments, are excellent. I'd love to be able to sing like you!

This is REALLY a GREAT Song.......and I think your vocals are Great...and the Harmonies work really well. The song has a real nice arrangement and I like the rhythm section, real punchy drum and bass sound. You have a little Brit Pop and Todd Rundgren sound to me, in the guitars.....and that's COOL!!!

Hey, some really fine ideas in here. Like your style allot, and this is a well written and performed song. This is not one of those simple songs I keep hearing that are devoid of any real compelling content or creativity. And the vocals are coming through sweet and strong. Great stuff here! ..Blake
