Song Lyrics
There's No Closing Time
It’s one a.m., I’m Road dog tired, with a thousand miles to go
I pull into a rundown truck stop diner
I pick a booth and she walks...
Song Information
I only have one day a week to record so I am doing one song a week until the album is done. I don't want to wear out my welcome by posting so many new songs....
From the songs I've heard thus far, this is going to be a very cool album, Eric. I like the direction of keeping the music to a minimum and letting your vocals and lyrics shine. I enjoyed the listen!
Hi Farrell. Thank you very much for the words of encouragement. I appreciate it very much.
Best,
Eric
I hear this and I am reminded of Jim Croce, how he did the finger-picking and the excellent vocal, all of which you have here. Thoughtful, intelligent, and riddled with blues, as per usual. Great one, Eric!
Hi Jim. You have a good ear as Jim's style of writing is what I am going for. More of a "classic" type of singer/songwriter vibe. I think the genre is due for a resurgence

another great track Eric. i like the story and the images it creates its like witnessing the scenario from the next table, you lyrics capture the scene the music delivers the backdrop and the vocal the emotion conveyed ,it works really well and pulls you into the story .great songwriting
Hi Tristyn. Thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it. Any new music on the way from you?
Peace
Eric
Wow I love this Eric. Nice soft story filled with your tender emotions. Lovely delivery with those great harmonies.
Hi Rich. Thank you my friend. It's a bit of a different direction for me. This type of music is more where I started writing with the goal of being a songwriter for other people. It didn't quite work out lol
Eric
