@Anthony Marcus - blog

Born in Oceanside, California, raised in Passaic, New Jersey, the younger of two children, Anthony Marcus was influenced by music at an early age. From infancy Anthonys' parents can remember hearing his request for James Brown in the form of "ah ah ah".

Music came naturally to Anthony, upon auditioning for the elementary school band, the instructor told him that he had a "natural ear" and could play any instrument he wanted to.
It was the age of 9 when Anthony decided he wanted to play guitar.

So began the years of "self teaching". Anthony purchased 2 books, from these books he discovered chords and soloing.

Many influences are responsible for the molding and shaping of Anthony Marcus as an artist.
As well as music within the secular world, Anthony was also influenced by gospel music as well. Being assigned the task of choir director at the age of 12, Anthony learned not only the musical assembly of instruments, but vocals as well.

"God will always be the main part in my life, not only in the past, but in the present as well. I feel that my talent in music is a God given talent, and as such I use this talent that He has bestowed upon me to glorify His name. Let's face it, without Him, none of this would be possible, by myself, nor any other artist in this industry."

This brings us to where we are today with this up and coming artist. His debut CD on the Finyl Cut Productions label (his own) entitled "Distant Lands" has received a resonding "nod" of approval by both national as well as international listeners alike. His soon to be released sophmore effort "Offline" shows a new direction in growth and potential for this composer/musician.

Hello folks,

It has been a while since I have been here. Just stopping in rally to say hello to all and wish you all the best.

My whole thing in the music industry is to actually MAKE IT in the music industry.

I refuse to surrender, that is basically the reason I moved my music.

Also, I have decided (after all this time) on a genre. I have moved to Fusion/Nu Jazz.

I am on a different site as far as my music goes, and needless to say it is welcomed and respected there.

If you would like to hear some of the new material, please check me out on "Facebook" for more info (do not want to step on any toes here so I will not divuldge the site URL here).

 God Bless You All,

tone

Greetings and Blessings to everyone here at Mixposure.

Well, over the course of the next 2 weeks I will be posing some of the collab work that I have done in the past. One of which has already been posted "Enlightenment". Coming up will be a collaboration done with Robert "RedEyeC" Forbes entitled "Godzilla Goes To The Mall" that will be posted 10/27. Then 11/03 will be a collab that was quite a hit on the old Mix for a while. A collab performed with "Valkir" entitled "Intermission" (formally "Mindblower").

That is it for the "then" here is the "now"...

I have at this time 3 more tracks that I would like to collaborate with someone on. Basically all that is needed are lyrics and vox. One is a Chili Peppers cover "Suck My Kiss".

If interested, contact me here.
