This was a song entry for a remix contest for John Schlitt on Acidplanet. It never placed but I thought it would be worth posting. While most other entries went into electronic or other genres, we kept true to John's style with a hard rock edge. John Schlitt ( Lead singer of Christian Rock Group Petra ) wrote the song and sang the lyrics. I added guitar and harmonica and Buddrumming rocked out on the drums. A good summer rocker to kick the speakers out.

This collab is for Bobby & Steve who put their dedication into their great show on Mixposure. Sad to see them go, but they are onto big things and we are all proud. I talked with Bobby (Bubba) about doing this for a while, and we finally got her down. I got the bass, acoustic tack and drums and Bobbys vocals. I dusted off the harmonica, brought out the old country Fender Strat and the pedal steel and the midi-guitar for the fiddle parts for this one. Always fun and challenging doing multiple instruments in a track.

A great Nashville sounding song about growing up on the great Tennessee River. Thanks Bobby & Steve..Nashville gents, we're gonna miss ya'll. Comments always welcome.

This is a latin based instrumental track, laid back with a hint of jazz. I just aquired a Godin "La Petrie" spanish acoustic guitar and was anxious to hear how it sounded compared to my other guitars, so this is the first track I recorded with it. I tried to create a mood so people could visualize the setting. Hopefully it comes across as a vision of some utopian place in paradise. Big kudos for buddy Steve Bone (Slap Johnson) whom I always turn to for mood setting woodwind loops. All other instruments via Roland Midi GR-20 Guitar or loops.

I did this song originally as an instrumental back in 2009. Mista Perez liked it and was inspired to put lyrics to it. After reconfiguring the progressions, adding an intro and several different elements, it;s now been transformed to something very different and aesthetic. Michael is a man of true talent. Another symphonic heavy rock track. I was toying with Symphonic Orchestra, Dimension 4 and Omnisphere. Very realistic orchestra sounds, I just can't get over the qulaity of these programs. I combined it with some heavy guitar to make an epic sountrackesque tune. This one is called Horizon. I have to thank PlanetJazzBass for me to make these kinds of tracks possible. This one takes me back to playing heavy rock, with a little darkness with a couple of rays of sunlight...and thats the daily forecast for today heheh. The modern world has changed with technology and is such a busy place. This tune seems to personify it that way, with perhaps the hope that we'll find time to smell the roses and have a fresh outlook for the future. A track I wrote for the CMC Country Music Contest. This is a song for anyone who is living their life in crisis, or dealing with pain or stress and needs to find strength and courage to change or deal with issues they have and to have faith in overcoming them. I had a rough couple of months and this song was significant to me and helped me heal and stay strong. I played all the instruments and programmed the drums and yes (gulp) this is my vocal debut singing (if you don't count "Pull My Finger Polka" hehe), and the first song I completely produced alone. It's seems like ages since I have posted a song, almost 3 months. It's great to be at it again as well as collabing with all my good friends. Life threw a few curveballs and I got sidetracked . Music has always been a great escape for me. Not just the therapeutic creativity of excrecising my brain (too much trans-fat up there !), but to dream of being in a peaceful place.

Hence the song "Cafe in Peru." It takes me to a place where things are simple, Where the smells of Peruvian coffee, culture, wonderment and mystery. I have travelled to many places in Mexico, Central America Life there is one of passion, values and romance. I am glad I finished this song today, because if I had any more of it's atmosphere it produced in my dreams, I might never have come back ! Can I buy you a Mountain Roasted Blend? Enjoy. I wish you Love, family, peace and music.

This is a collab with fellow friend, musician and keymaster David C. Deal, myself...with the acapella is from Chris Venna which I had found at Acidplanet. We decided to give this one a dark heavy rock or metal overtone but still hold a club groove to keep it moving and interesting. I told David it was an exercise in atmosphere. It basically shows how versatile David is, he virtually can play any genre with impecable success. Not really what people may expect from the two of us, but it definately was a lot of fun as all collabs are with Dr. Deal. Alawys an honor my friend. Cheers and comments are always most welcome.

My brother Bob and I played together as guitar players in a number of bands about 20 years ago. After he became a dentist and I got into the printing business we moved away to different places and our band broke up and we joined different groups. Bob was also a very talented luthier and built me the best guitar I ever owned, a PRS-style custom which I play to this day.

This was the first time we actually spent any time in the studio together in about 20 years. Bob wrote this song many years ago but we never had the chance to finish it. It was a real treat for me as it brought back so many memories of practicing in my parents garage with our band. We used to drive my folks crazy, but Pop was real proud of us, mom on the other hand wore airline headgear and tuned us out. The night we finished mixing this song, sadly, my father had a stroke from cancer complications and passed away 4 days later on Jan 6th 2012. He never had the chance to hear this song or see us play together in the studio, but I am sure it would have put a smile on his face. We miss you Dad. This one is for you Pops.

Wow ! It's been a while since I did something since I had bummed up my shoulder last month. I was getting tire of being a one-armed bandit !

Remember Me ( Recuerdame ) is a guitar rock instrumental track that is based on the progression by the latin love song by la Quinto Estacion. I played all the instruments (except drums) love and layed out the music beds and changed the progression and tempo a bit to make it interesting. A real heart-wrenching tune in the key of E Minor Mixolydian and Penatonic. Features, some electric guitar, acoustic flamenco, piano and strings.

I am trying to get back up to speed with playing, picking and bending again without making funny painul faces. This was great therapy to get the arm back into shape. It's not perfect, and I think I still need to practice the sqeaky arm. But I'm SO glad to be back making music again ! Time to get on some collabs too...Woohoo

One Armed Bilbozo - Bummer - @bilbozo

Well.. It's curtains for me. I took a nasty spill on some ice over the weekend going down my steep driveway and ripped all the ligaments in my shoulder. Doc says I am out of commission with the guitar for at least a month maybe even two. For me that's too long. I just wanted to hear if anyone has any suggestions on how I can keep producing music. I can kind of play keys a bit and run software but the guitar is out of the question. I tried it today and I was screaming in pain.

I just feel pretty empty without my main instrument. But I know it's best not to try and push it, proper healing takes time. Two months seems to come as a shock. Who knows, maybe you may hear me make some Dubstep, Trance or Dance in FL Studio or something like that. LOL.

OR perhaps I can do something like this guys does...incredible ! I really want to continue so any advice would be awesome. Thanks guys - Bilbozo ( Now known temporarily as "Lefty)

I just heard the news about the early passing of one of the biggest guitar influences who ever graced six strings, legend Gary Moore who passed on Feb 6 . The man who played with such soul and heart. I am so crushed to hear he left us so early. Gary was one of the biggest reasons I picked up guitar. Most importantly he showed everyone that a guitar was an extension of your soul, and pulled every note out of his heart. We Still Got the Blues for You.... more than ever now that you are gone. Goodbye Gary and Godspeed. Until we all meet again
