I've been playin' Guitar since 1986 and I play mostly Heavy Metal. I write alot of lyrics, some guitar parts and have someone else help to put it all together, That way I still write songs but I also get influences from others so I don't wind up having all of my songs sound the same [How boring is that?] Currently I can't play much because as I grew up playing, I was never taught how to correctly hold a guitar while I'm playing, so it eventually took a toll on my wrists..

I still play and write, but now I'm having to convert my writing into clips/riffs. I'm starting to incorporate alot of MIDI even though I can't create as much passion, but, you never know, I might wind up creating a new style of Metal?????

I mainly play a Peavy Mystic (circa 1980's) and a 4-space Rack Mount Pro-1000 Tube Randall Head with a Randall 4X12 cab. I can get it to make alot of noise, but I like the power it's got more than the tone, so I added a Digitech ValveFX and a BBE Sonic Maximizer...... WOW, killer sound, 80's tone mixed with 90's Bass tones. It's something else. but, guess you'd have to like that kind of music to appreciate it.
