@Robert Joseph Band - blog

I'm Robert Joseph, I started writing my own songs about 5 years ago, and I am a self proclaimed guitar player, songwriter, musician. I am heavily influenced by blues based classic rock. In the real world I earn a living as a self employed woodworker/carpenter.

Robert Joseph first picked up the guitar at about the age 18. A old Stratacaster knock off with 4 strings and no pickups. He managed to learn a few chords, and gets some strings, and with the help of a friend, started to learn his favorite music. As time passed he grew estranged from the guitar, and at times would not pick up the guitar for years at a time. That was about to change when a wonderful thing called the internet opened doors to musicians around the world. This renewed Robert's interest in playing music, as he saw a outlet to share his music with all that will listen. Robert's music comes from the heart, and the world in which he lives in.

  Is Rock and Roll dead? I mean real rock.What happened to the Jimmy Pagse, Slashes, Keith Richards, Joe Perrys, Angus Youngs, Johnny Thunder, you know what I’m getting at. Most new music on rock radio sucks. I know rock has evolved over the years, from Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry to Jimmi Hendrix then on to Slash. But it seems to me rock died when Gun’s n Roses disbanded. The only other band I can relate to is Buck Cherry, and a few others, but they’re missing a little something that all the others mentioned have. Also I feel I’m always looked down upon, when people know I play and love classic rock, like I’m a spider on the wall. I guess it comes with age. I used to think my Dad was a nut when he bragged about Dizzy Gillespie, Tommy Dorsey and others.
  Now look what we have here. I’d have to say at least 95% of the music I have heard here on the Mix should be on the radio. Why isn’t it? Is it because the big wigs at Clear channel know what we want to hear? Why don’t they come to the Mix and listen to some music here? Or any of the other sites out there and find real music again?
  I know it’s a hard wall to break down but we have an army here at the Mix, so like Ronald Regan said to Gorbachev let’s “ Tear down that wall”!! Peace to all!!

New song added Shy Till Noon

Ok,now on to the nonsense. I have a question to anyone that stops by my planet in the great galaxy
of Mixposure. How many people believe in alien beings? I’m not talking Mexicans sneaking across the border. But the real deal, Spaceships, UFO’s
Flying Saucers, little green men. I do. Do you? 100 billion galaxies with 100 billion stars in each galaxy, statistically we as humans would have to be naïve if we think we’re the only species. I’ll follow up on this blog, with more of my thoughts in the future depending on the response. Peace RJ
