Just completed a new song. Its an old song that I posted in part here the other day. Thanks to all those who commented!

I've now completed a version with my new keyboard. I've decided I'm going to write an album of material and this is my first addition.

If I knew how much fun using keys would be I would have bought a set years ago.

Would you believe my wife just bought me a keyboad for my birthday? She's fantastic.

Just learning how to use it so I thought I would load a sample of some keys I've added to an old song (short version). I think I'm going to enjoy using it once I get used to it

Hi All

I'm toying with the purchase of Reason 4. I'm looking for a complete package with programable loops, keyboard sounds, bass, etc. My main purpose is to have a one stop shop for song and instrumental creations. If anyone has an opinion on this one I'd love to know.

The sort of music I'm trying to create is instrumental funk, rock & jazz - with guitar as the centre piece (as usual!).

Went and saw Jeff Beck in concert last night here in Sydney.

I must say it was one of the most amazing musical displays I have ever experienced. From begining to end I had a huge grin on my face,the band was amazing and Jeff was just stunning. I left the gig just buzzing - it was awesome.

My Thirteen year old son has had a passion for movies + special effects for quite a while. He's now putting together a number of clips with his ideas. I've loaded up one on my youtube site and thought I would share it with you all. He's learnt all this stuff on his own by using the family PC + video camera. This includes clips from things he's made over the last couple of years.

Just posted some playing to a BT which will be entered in a poll competition on another site (for guitar players). Each player uses the same BT, which is part of the challenge. Anyway, its all about fun and it will be interesting to see what people choose when forced with a decision.

Hi All

I've gone a bit funky lately (playing wise). Here's another video done by my son and I. Dont mind the traffic in the background, its just my familiy milling about.

This one is called the Chicken jam. Its got a nice little turn around and if you like, perhaps we can start a jam. I wonder if we can link up video files to the one backing track, with a take from a few players. Now that would be cool!

Chill - a song for Rob - @robert-smith

Just finished a song. This one is called "Chill", and is some relaxing (hopefully) music for his recovery. The last collab I did was with Rob, on a song called "Break through". I was so honoured that he asked me, and the piece he wrote really brought out of a lot of emotion in me. Thanks Rob for involving me with your music - this one is for you.

Hi All

Just posting this oldie from my band from the late eighties. Recorded live with bass drums and guitar. Its a pretty cheesy number, and I was quite suprised when I played it to my kids and they really liked it (lol). They said "thats better than the stuff you do now" - what??!!??, me no thinks so.

Anyway, I'm posting it for a bit of a laugh. Feel free to post a sledge.
