'Bit of Both'

in my home it's warm and cozy
flat out open's not for me
without my shell i'll never travel
there's no place i'd rather be

my whole life i have been livin
in the nutshell of my mind
rain could pour it's saddening tears
or the sun would be too kind

when the wind was blowin' sharply
a safe shelter i would build
but still i'd feel it stinging
through the gaps of my own guilt

way down under nature's rooftop
oh i travelled east and west
took north and south both with me
couldn't choose which i liked best

    now i'm left of all that's left
    i'm at home in my own mind
    i can climb any mountain
    nothin' left to leave behind

    i'm left of all that's left
    i am all that you can see
    i've no fear to swim the ocean
    by myself...if need be...

tried to be a master-builder
of everyone else's home sweet home
all the while that my own shelter
became my private pressure dome

somehow i managed to escape
swapped my mind over matter
threw in the towel took off the hat
once owned by some mad hatter

i'm a capricorn climbin' mountains
or ocean crab in its steelstrong shell
bit of both now we look and laugh
at that cancer out of hell

'Bit of Both' (unplugged) , actually a semi-accoustic version, is about Marco's (horoscopic) sun-sign Cancer (water) and moon-sign Capricorn (earth), and how most of his life these two extremes used to bring conflict and crisis, but now finally work together in harmony.
