billb summed it up quite well, seems to me. In a slightly uncomfortable way I enjoyed this. A lot. It is unique. I love the originality. Standing ovation from here.

I sat down, leaned back, and completely enjoyed this tune! It unfolds in a most interesting way, to me at least. Love the instrumentation. This was a pleasure and I appreciate you sharing this.

Love the floating guitars back and forth in the stereo field. Mighty fine guitar playing. A cool and interesting tune, too. I enjoyed this, Paul.

Thx, Bud
This song sounds nothing like Betcha Don't Catch It - which is cool - it means you're diverse. This sounds like it was influenced by Erasure. Great 80's synth-pop vibe. I LOVE the industrial distorted drums on this track - they don't match the rest of the song at all, which really gives the song some tension. Great backing vocals.
had to start twice cause i wasn't sure if there was an intro or not.. well it's ok.. you jumped right in.. you said you're very proud of this one in your blog I think.. well i think it's pretty cool man.. don't love the drums i must say and i'm not sure if it isn't distorting a bit.. the snare and kick maybe?.. reminds me somehow of the beatles.. wow.. is this the same song? it breaks off into that almost urban beat for a sec.. I hear why you're proud of this one.. it's ambitious for sure and has lots of detail.. lots of work in it.. probably like you'd feel about my music.. it's not really my style bro.. but i appreciate the effort that went into it.. i think you are a musician.. not just putting samples together.. a lot of vocal layering, background voices and harmonies.. that takes skill.. as i read in the other reviews many do indeed like this style so all the best to you for your continued success.. cheers..
like the vocals and the arrangement. this is a cool piece. the drums sound a bit distracting in the verse sections though. I am not sure if it the volume or a timing issue?
Another different sounding track from you, Beau, but still with your distinct sound. Love the chorus in this track. It has an almost Todd Rundgren feel to it. Not sure about the mix in the early stages. The vocals seem a bit set back and the lyrics aren't coming through all that clearly. Also the bass, and the kick seem a bit loud (just what my ears are hearing). At about the 1:40 mark the mix sounds much clearer and cleaner. Love the double vocals intertwining with each other. Wasn't expecting the change at about 3:40 but it works really well and the vocal harmonies are just superb. Lovely work Beau. Keep em coming.
Cheers
Brian
unusual... and I like that., the chord stucture of this composition held my ears intact. The acoustic fit nicely with the melody...which took me a few listens to have it sink in.
What really stood out is the vocal timbre and the tone.
The resolve into the chorus could have been a little more dramatic (IMO) but realizing the format of the presentation i decided to hone in on the content only... which i was plesently surprised...The change up in the latter part of the song (and the lyrical resolve) was a big plus for my ears.
I like the approch...thats hows it done. different is hard to do...you did it well. thumbs up!
