billb summed it up quite well, seems to me. In a slightly uncomfortable way I enjoyed this. A lot. It is unique. I love the originality. Standing ovation from here.

I sat down, leaned back, and completely enjoyed this tune! It unfolds in a most interesting way, to me at least. Love the instrumentation. This was a pleasure and I appreciate you sharing this.

Love the floating guitars back and forth in the stereo field. Mighty fine guitar playing. A cool and interesting tune, too. I enjoyed this, Paul.

Excellent song here. The vocals, rhythm, and fiddle sync up perfectly from start to finish. An all around great song that demonstrates what country music is all about! This one will definitely keep you coming back for more. Can't wait to hear what you release next. C.G.
Hey lexz, Dusty does a great job of relaying the goods...excellent musicainship (fiddle is right on it.)
I hear the country format alright...and this could easily be played out in a rock-pop gernre as well...top notch writing will always open bigger doors for success with the hit em remind em and hit em again songwriting....and manOman you have the formula down!!...all round excellent.(great work too dusty!)
Wow...this just such a great country tune. The fiddle work is fantastic...aw hell everything is. Super playing and vocals throught the whole track. A real winner!
Hugs...Mike (NAV)
Mr. Lex Z! You mean writing machine, you!! Excellent tune yet again out of your shop! This is a really snappy tune. Even though I am not the biggest Country fan, really, I like this one. It has charm and gets your toes tapping. That's good in my book! Great singing my Dusty as well! Great tune that will be on my show this Saturday!
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Lex, I'm always excited to listen to your words, ways of music, and also to your collaborations - with a growing list of fine singers. Beautiful fiddle sections here, and Dusty's expression is so good and ironic, the song is uplifting & perfectly mixed with great drive of grooves and guitars. It's a honour that you belong to my musical friends for years now!
A fine country rocker. Toe tapping groove, nicely played/ arranged, really good professional vocals and as always excellent lyrics. About to listen again!
Cheers

What a wonderful piece of writing and what a superb interpretation of Lex' lyrics by Dusty and the band. It was only on the third listen that it dawned on me that the structure of this song is A A A A. How then does something in that format keep me interested from start to finish and then make me want to hit play again. Firstly, the quality of the lyrics. They have a natural rhythmic flow, and say a lot in very few words. There's a sense of continuity to the writing of the lyrics. It's a story that develops so you want to find out what's coming next. Musically, although it's basically verse verse verse, interspersed with some delightful fiddle work, each verse has its own internal stucture which keeps the interest, and the repetition of the last two lines gives the effect of a notional chorus. Plus there's a really nice technique used by Dusty in the vocals. The second last line of each verse ends on the tonic, bringing closure. However, the last line of each verse ends on a "non tonic" note which keeps it hanging and draws you in to the next verse. Quality work. Add to the quality of the writing and the interpretation a really great rhythm section, some great fiddle and some exceptionally good vocals and you've got an absolute winner. This could be the one, Lex. I've got my fingers crossed.
Cheers
Brian
