CROSSFIRE (with MTW )
Caught in a crossfire --- try to wake up - Here we stand - at the end of a rainbow - ready or not there is - the final decision - 1984 - comin at us again - its an Orwell nightmare claimin the end - warning bell at the door - it ain't goin away - not until the cleansing card is played - we're caught in crossfire - caught in crossfire - between the designs of men - a daily decision - is the burden i carry - to try to escape the bitter end - nothing is sure except the Lord our God - and he'll bring the day again - I can feel it comin on - you gotta try to wake up - there is a - dark day before the dawn - now i'm tryin to make myself wake up - and find a way to face the bitter cup - caught in a crossfire - try to wake up - it breaks my heart just to know your story - I see a child beyond the years - can never go back - caught in a crossfire you are - you lay awake wishin on a lonely star - somebody save me - somebody save me - is the only song and the only prayer in your heart - livin in a crossfire - livin in a crossfire - am I running out of time - am I lost - by indecision - such a long way to fall - if i fail to heed the call - wake up
CROSSFIRE ----- This track is a collaboration of musicianship. CREDITS go to the 'Winters Resurrection' boyz; Robert Wagenbrenner, Micah Long, and Michael T. Will. ------- A while back, MTW (Michael T. Will) sent me an instrumental track from a project under WINTER'S RESURRECTION. (check out their channel here on Mixposure for more) -----
SHANE : In this vocal /lyric version, shuffled and re-arranged some bars around and did a couple things on the composition for the lyrics progression, added some DX piano, did some sound modeling and effects in various changes, and the lyrics and vocals. ----- Among all the things I really like about the music, I love the Bass sound and Bass lines. In the second verse, we arranged an area where its mainly just the 12 string, and Bass Guitar and Drums during some of the 2nd verse. -----
When Michael sent me their original, I was so highly impressed! It's very pleasing the way the guitars, bass and drums weave together! I'd like to state appreciation that MTW let me muck in and do a version, because Winter's Resurrection does have a specific aim and vision for this number, and i was not successful at tailoring my input to meet the project ideas that they are intending. So it is with permission that I'm allowed to post this version here.
