@ab2
SSSSHHHHH, HUSH, HUSH...............Hummmm...Too Bad...
I wonder what you all make of this and wether or not you`d have been as agreeable as Nigel was...<br /><br />
<p>A couple of years ago, just after I came to live here in Switzerland with Rapster I heard a piece of music "by" Pete Considine.. I really liked the music and sang to it...I sent the finished piece to Pete to see what he thought of it, and he told me to post away if I wanted to, I did want to, so I posted it..To cut a long story short last night our Nigel Potter heard it and reviewed it...This is what he wrote in his review of it..<br /><br />Terentek (04 Oct 2008 04:00 PM)<br />The very second this began I thought to myself...<br />"Groove agent drums and that guitar....it's Peter!!"<br />So I checked the info, and hey presto <br />So.....<br />Ina kind of once removed way,I am kind of on this track, because I used to do the drums for Peter to play with </p>
<p>So hey,we kind of collabed LOL......</p>
<p>Nice to hear Peter again, miss that crazy aussie.<br />AND...<br />You really have done a grand job of the vocals on this mags.<br />Peter's freeform playing is not always the easiest to go with, but you nailed it,no worries.<br />Excellent.</p>
<p>Nigel<br /><br />:-)<br /><br />I thought that Nigel`s review was amazing seeing as there was no mention of his name anywhere...Pete never once informed me that Nigel had done the drums. For me personally I mention ALL of the people I collab with no matter how small the part.. I do occasionally forget to mention someone, I put that done to age, ehehhe and human error...I don`t see how anyone could forget to mention the person who did the drums for them...It reminds me of an Australian band I sangfor only to find those songs on the net for sale and NO mention of my name...I was the vocalist, and had no mention...Quite unbelievable really... <br /><br />I know Nigel won`t want any fuss here, and that`s not what this blog is about to cause trouble...It`s to get your views and opinions on this very tricky subject...:-)<br /><br />Incase you`d like to hear the song, it`s on page 2 of my songs list, the 8th song down and is called BED OF ROSES, here`s the link to the page..<br /><a href="http://www.mixposure.com/margot_du_bois/music.php?p=2">http://www.mixposure.com/margot_du_bois/music.php?p=2</a><br /><br /><br />Peace n love Mags xx </p>
Thanks so much Rick.... You`re a gent..
Peace n love..:-)
Wow Nigel....So both of the pieces of Pete`s music that I`ve sung to, the drums were your work..!...I`m very proud to have had the pleasure of the collabs...ahahha, lol...To be honest back then if I`d have thought it was you who`d worked the drum parts, I`d have felt too timid to have had a go at singing on them..ehehee..So, in a way it`s cool for me that it`s only just come to light.. I`ll go change the info for "Little Fly" and give you your well deserved credit.. I especially like Little Fly N..
Peace n love xx
Oh, I did`nt know about his health problems Rick, thanks for letting us know.. I hope he`s ok..
The song in question was recorded over 2 years ago now..:-)
:-)Your name is deservedly there N..
As for where Pete is, I hav`nt heard anything about him for quite a while..Hummm...He`s put out some cool music...I did another one with his music called Little Fly, I wonder if you`re on that one too..heheee, I`ll have to go and listen..
Thank you Mags for adding my name.
As I said to you,Peter had no drums prog at the time so I used to do loads of drum tracks on Groove Agent and send them off to him to make music with.
So I cannot see how it can be anyone but me doing the drums.
If I'm wrong,I'll be the first to apologise to all
I greatly enjoyed hearing Peter again and thought you did a grand job on vocals Mags.
Now where is that daft aussie these days?
Nigel.
ain't no tricky subject darling G.. credit where credit is due.. basta.. (PS.. sure glad you came to switzerworld) xxxxx
