Took down my shades
And I closed my door
Told er’body that “love don’t live here no mo’â€
Put my heart under lock and key
I turned inside out
And got deep inside of me
Then I saw her there, locs hangin’ down
Made a Kool-Aid smile from this old frown
And the way she laughed made me
Think of what I've missed.......................
She said “my name’s Ginny†with that southern drawl
Started talkin’ ‘bout stuff that didn’t really matter at all
We grabbed some squirrel nut zipper at the Candy Stand
When it was time to pay, I was holding her soft hand
We sat on a bench up under the stars
Looking up to the heavens. out way past Mars
Then her eyes met mine in a moment just like this.............I felt Ginny’s kiss
Ginny’s Kiss
(Instrumental Interlude)
When the way seems hard and everything’s wound tight
It’s the little things that make you feel allright
Her smile, her laugh, her touch and I won’t for-git..................The first time that I felt
Ginny’s Kiss

About "Ginny's Kiss":
The short story? Virginia's (Ginny) kiss. Made a hell of an impression to a man (suprise ladies-we get jaded too) jaded by bad relationships, life's hectice path and having forgotten how important those little things really are. This is a very upbeat, fun song about rediscovery- all through Ginny's kiss. (Got 'er done in 2:52 secs. Short, sweet and to the point. this is the almost finished version. There are some background items left to add but I liked it so much and it's been awhile since I've posted something really "new" for me until I just had to get this one out. Update coming very soon!

I am glad I found this tune to put it back up into the rotation of reviews. It is really a good tune by any measure.

Ah, I was wondering when I'd hear some of your keyboard work too.
This makes me think of "Roseville Fair" - no , it doesn't sound anything like it - just a sweet first-kiss kinda song.
A pleasure to listen to.
