Saying goodbye to another year. It was recorded on new years Eve. The acoustic guitar, synth pad, and drums were recorded simultaneously. Drum and synth parts were done on the fly by triggering with foot piano and pushing buttons for drum loop, silent, or single percussion hits on synth module as the pad played uninterrupted. The synth pad was layered over the drums as a single patch. The bass was added afterwards. Lyrics, some extra cymbals, and solo were added the next day as an afterthought.

Through a song is a good way to say goodbye to the year. The acoustic and vocals sound great. All the layering and on the fly additions takes a good bit of coordination, which you've pulled off beautifully...nicely done!
Thanks so much for listening and the kind words👍

I grew up as a no sing bass player and thankfully was weaned on the progrock golden years by an older brother. This included the likes of Yes, Zappa, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, ELP, etc. My personal bass instructors were John Entwistle, Chris Squire, and Geddy Lee.
Anyway, the decades passed with 1000+ hours of stage time from hole in the walls to sharing the stage with national acts all over the North East in original, classic rock, pop, and blues cover bands.
Then after discovering the satisfaction and the art of composing I learned the other instruments needed for rock ensembles. With guitar I have had zero influences. Never learned a lick from the greats. For good or bad it imparted an unsoiled take on style for me that I adore.
Presently I have foregone the rigors with ensembles in live performing and gone the solo act route. In solo performing it's voice and guitar. Though that is fine, for me that was lacking or just missing something. Enter the MIDI synth foot pedals. Now that filled in some texture that I felt was missing. It is a wonderful experience to be able to play two instruments and sing at the same time. Not only can you have guitar and voice but also can add bass, strings, flute, horns, or any sound the synths can offer.
It's amazing to me the caliber of independent composers and performers to be found wandering the halls of cyber space.
Thanks Mizieva!
