This is a song Stephanie wrote the basic musical framework and lyrics for last summer (2009). Once work on this track began in earnest...the need for new music for the chorus and a different arrangement for the remainder of the tune became pretty necessary. I tried to accomplish that without changing the essence of Stephanie's original vision...and hopefully you guys will like the end results as much as we all do.
According to Stephanie, a ring around the moon usually signifies an atmospheric condition that brings inclement weather. In the context of a relationship...the storm clouds that inevitably show up from time to time can take on many forms...but the only real way to keep them from festering and growing or to head off any problems on the horizon is by open communication between partners.
Stephanie decided this was a good metaphor to use as she wrote this song...and it fits right in with the overall theme of her debut CD "DEEPLY"...which is composed of songs examining different aspects of personal relationships and personal growth.
Stephanie continues to grow as a songwriter and an artist...and additional new music is on the horizon as she works to complete her first CD.
wow those last 2 tracks I got from you Be Good... and now this one, I think you have raised your level production wise, you always sounded good but these two tracks really have something very special in the way they are crafted and finished, great job guys I really love this.
Real deal music !! thar aint nuttin better!! ..well of course perhaps a real music deal...with some katts that would back up the goods!!
excellent!
Those opening vocals match the feel of the opening guitar perfectly. They even seem to be eq'd as emotional twins. The song settles in to quality, rock with an edge. Nice work Mike.
