Turn Around
I drove you to the airport
In a cold September rain
I helped you with your luggage and your coat
I walked you to the turnstile
We parted at the gate
You smiled and said you’d call
I know you won’t
And I wanted you to turn around
Turn around and wave goodbye
Turn around so I could look once more
Into your eyes
You’ll fly into Chicago
On an open red-eye flight
He’ll greet you with a limo and a kiss
He'll brush you off for dinner
For his most important friends
A client on a call that he can’t miss
And I wanted you to turn around
Turn around and change your mind
Turn around and we’ll both disappear
Into the night
I’m the one who’s aching for you
I’m the one who adores you
I’m the one who loves you
Turn around
I’m the one who’s aching for you
I’m the one who adores you
I’m the one who loves you
Turn around
You taxied down the runway
The beacon lights were on
The wheels went up
The lift and you were gone
And I wanted you to turn around
Turn around just one more time
Turn around so I could look once more
Into your eyes
Goodbye my love, goodbye
My love, goodbye
My love, goodbye
To me it sounds great Eric. I really like the ascending lines just before the chorus and the use of the M7chord closing each verse. These two things make it a rare and unique listening experience at least for myself as does the greater enjoyment after each listen. All makes sense. Lyrically a Lovely song which has a style change in the ending. this is nice and functional too as it allows one to move on in the imagination. 5*
I think its a fine choice for a movie submission.
Best of luck to you.
