A GLOBAL WARNING ! not warming
There is a song on the Big Peter White page called ACID RAIN.
Years ago politicians ignored warnings about Acid Rain but now they see the threat of global warning as a means of cynically raising money by way of a carbon tax.
I believe in cutting pollution, stopping the deforestation of the rain forests, and recycling waste where I can. What I dont believe is GLOBAL WARMING and so called carbon footprints, in the scheme of things its just so feeble to think anything we do will change nature (A few years ago we were told by scientists we were cooling down, remember the film The Day After Tomorrow, it was based on a scientific theory).
The politicians and some scientists use the so-called threat for their own ends; in much the same way they used the MILLENIUM BUG (remember that lie, hope you didnt pay for any safe guards they were selling).
MOTHER NATURE will find a way to deal with global warming or any ice ages thrown her way not governments.

i suggest you watch al gore's film for clarification about the so-called global warming hoax.. i read "state of fear" by chrichton myself and understand the skepticism.. but i totally agree with nigel.. we are foolish to believe we are having no adverse effect on the atmosphere and weather/climate.. what?.. are you just looking for justifcation to drive your big SUVs around town.. small dick syndrome is what i call it fellas..

Well,the temperature of the Earth has gone through drastic changes in the past,and most of those occured before there were enogh members of the human tribe on this planet to account for those changes.
Mother Earth does what She will,and if the cancer known as mankind continues to cause problems,She will heal Her self by any means necessary.
Global Warming,the War On Drugs...how much bullshit propaganda to raise money does one government have to put out before the people stand up and shout "Enough !".
Apparently,as long as most people are of the "sheep" mentality and follow the thinking of the "herd",governments can get by with this type **** indefinitely.

Thanks for making this post. The situation with global warming is pretty amazing. I research this and other things all the time and from all angles. I do believe you and Dicarlo are correct. There is good and credible scientific evidence of global warming, however, evidence that this warming is caused by HUMAN ACTIVITIES is quite tentative at best. On the contrary, there is quite good scientific that humans are NOT the cause. This view has been taken by many of the worlds CLIMATOLOGISTS - not just any scientists, but the ones directly involved with climate change over time. We can also point to Mars, which is also experiencing global warming - apparently those folks on the red planet are having the same problem. The IPCC is the international political body that is so oft quoted in our news as being the authoritative source. They claim over 2000 scientists are listed in their reported conclusion that humans are in large part to blame for warming. But in fact, many of these 2000+ are not climatoligists, have no basis for supporting or denying the conclusions therein, or are not scientists at all. And many real scientists who were merely reviewers of the IPCC document, listed in the document without their permission as supporters, and are now appealing or sueing to have their names taken off the report. To the best of our scientific ability at this time, the proper conclusion on what IS causing the increased average temperatures ---- THE SUN. And it's doing the same thing to Mars. The term global warming is kind of misleading...
It implies that earth will JUST heat up,when in fact what it actualy is saying that we can expect drastic changes to our weather patterns.
The thing about disbelief is,what if you are wrong?
It would be pretty blinkered to believe that with all the carbon we pump into the air that is NOT going to have an effect.
Carbon footprinting is just a clever marketing toy as you say to make money and negotiate away the responsability for actualy reducing carbon, by offsetting it against some other mythical aspect.
The world is most likely in trouble,and we did it.
We'd better start figuring out how to deal with the changes,because as a specied addicted to oil,we cannot break the habbit until the substance runs out.
If I'm wrong,we all live happily ever after,if the skeptics are wrong,and wait till they have the final ULTIMATE scientific proof,it will be too late to even begin to try and change things.
Just my opinion,nothing factual,and no threat to any other opinion.
