Ring a ding on my bell deelightful
Keep weavin’ your spell as night falls
It’s hot as all hell when she calls
Deelightful, deelicious, Dee best
There’s a lady I know lives just outta town
She can sure help if I’m feelin down
Just call her up she makes me feel swell
Pretty soon she’s a’ringin’ my bell
I climb into bed but I don’t get no sleep
And when the sun is starting to peep
“Just where’re you goin’?†I hear her say
And then my bell rings in a new day
Go to the kitchen to get a quick bite
And there on the table is served a deelight
Go to the shower to have a quick scrub
But pretty soon that bell rings in the tub
For lunch is a taco spicy and hot
It’s quite a mouthful but she eats the lot
A bottle of champagne to finish the meal
As my bell rings peal after peal
And after lunch I take a quick nap
Alone on the sofa but she’s soon back
“Wake up lazybones, there’s work to be doneâ€
“It must be time for your bell to be rungâ€

An absolute hoot BJ. ANy chance of her address. And methinks there might have been a bit of skiting in there too....more than a mouthful indeed. Had me laughing and tapping my toes at the same time. Tremendous work.

I have been involved with music and bands in Perth, Western Australia since the late '60's when I played rhythm, lead and bass guitars with a variety of pop and rock bands. However by the mid '70's I had tired of the scene and virtually retired until the early '90's when I started playing acoustic music. These days I play mainly mandolin, dobro, bass and guitar but also some bouzouki, dulcimer, synth and even occasional flute (I won't mention the banjo). Recently I have started to grapple with the clarinet but I think it'll be a while yet before it's heard in public.
2001 and 2002 were busy years for me, gigging in three different bands:- Dingo's Breakfast (an Oz music and poetry band), Off My Cloud (a pub circuit Rolling Stones tribute band) and Otters Brew (a medieval folk-rock band).
I relocated to the south coast of WA in 2003 and have become more involved in writing and recording than in gigging since then.
