Song Lyrics
Well I can see That I’m too young, this point of view is not for me My future’s heavy with the things that I can be But that won’t change my heart And I...
Well I can see That I’m too young, this point of view is not for me My future’s heavy with the things that I can be But that won’t change my heart And I can’t change my heart
With the come and go The wax and wane of all these things we used to know We wanted freedom, but now we’re reaping what we sow And I can feel the heat blow in I feel the heat blow in
Time’s no friend of mine Like a house fire slowly burning up into the night I'll just grab what I can see before the flames can reach my feet and drag me under And drag me under
Well just pull me along Now I’m comfortable, but everything is wrong I stand and wait around for a better sounding song When I could just change my tune Yeah, I should just change my tune
To wake up with you The thing that’s motivating most of what I do But like the rest, I’ll have to wait to see it through And I feel the heat blow in It’s burning on my skin
Time’s no friend of mine Like a house fire slowly burning up into the night I'll just grab what I can see before the flames can reach my feet and drag me under And drag me under
I know I can hold out until I run I’ll just sit and hold my breath; no I won’t breathe until I’m done 'Cause if I lose myself before I reach this shore Then I'll just die at twenty-five but live to see six decades more
Time’s no friend of mine Like a house fire slowly burning up into the night I'll just grab what I can see before the flames can reach my feet and drag me under And drag me under

I’ve been recording songs and covers on my own at home for about four years, while at the same time building a collection of folk and bluegrass instruments that I introduce into new tracks as I go. I played regular gigs with a couple of different folk and indie rock bands around central Pennsylvania and put out an EP with one of them in the same time period, but this EP is the first I’ve put together entirely on my own.
