I Do Things In Lumps!

I mean, I do a lump of guitar recording then a lump of singing and then a lump of editing and finally a lump of mixes. I do things this way because it's more "efficient" than guitar-vox-edit-mix-guitar-vox-edit-mix cycles. So when I get into an edit-edit-edit-edit-edit-edit-edit-edit… mode, my brain becomes mince after a few days. At the moment I'm in the middle of a lump of comping vocals. A most mind-numbing and spirit-sapping experience. Nevertheless, workflow and efficiency is key to my getting done what needs to get done - what with the day-job and other bits of intervening life. I bet y'all thought I stuck a couple of mics up, blethered out a few songs, dispatched to a mastering engineer and thence to a replication plant, and that was that. Heh. Oh, no-o-o-o-o-o. I'm an artist. I obsess. Heh. Right, back on with the cans...
