<p>Gentle Giant......hmmmmmm??? Remember them?? Always one of my favorite. The bass player, Ray Schulman, always played really neat riffs and I always wanted to write a song like them. NOT THAT I COULD?!?!?!?!?! BUT!! I sure wanted to try <img src="http://www.mixposure.com/include/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />. I put together a bunch of bass and drum riffs, with some off time stuff and through together a basic arrangement and went to Doc and Farrell and asked for help, to come up with a GG type song. They both liked what they heard, but Farrell grabbed the song and ran with it. He put together all of the backing guitars and vocals and did some minor re-arranging. He sent me a sample of what he had done.....and I was...WHOAED OVER!!!! I LOVED IT!! The Mood, The Feel, The Storyline.....ALL fit perfectly to me. We then gave it to DOC and the PROG gods shown over him gloriously, IMHO. He NEVER seizes to amaze me, the way he adapts to all styles of music. We then went to Gary C, to put his final Lead Guitar touch on it......and THAT, he did.....and just as DOC does, Gary too, can change with the wind and fit to whatever is put in front of him. I LOVE working with these guys. <p>Hi everybody,I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and to thank all the folks who wished me a happy birthday and for all the nice comments on my music......I've been working out of town for the last 6 months and I have been gigging a lot when I'm home and I haven't had a lot of time to spend working on my own music...But thank goodness that's going to change soon and I will be able to do my new songs...It will be easier with the new computer and software I've gotten (I'll be able to record better sounding tracks and hopefully be better sounding on your ears)...Plus I've got a new baby...I'm finished putting my Gold top Les Paul back together and that's my inspiration...all the songs I've ever written were on a Les Paul..just something about a Lester gets my creativity going...Well anyway..I just wanted to tell eveyone that I'm still around and I hope to be getting some (I hope) good tunes coming in...And I really want to say that the folks I've met here are some of the nicest people I've met anywhere.....I'll be seeing you soon......</p><p> Thanks,</p><p> Jeff Nesbit (bomberdrummer)</p>
<p>Chalk one up for the rookie (me) on his first lead guitar attempt!!! As someone very graciously pointed out, the lead guitar had some parts that were ridiculously out of tune. I knew something didn't sound right!!! Thanks so much James and Warren for pointing that out; once you mentioned it and I looked at it, it stood out like a preacher in a cat house!</p>
