New Features

By Admin, 2007-12-01

I just wanted to let everyone know we have been working on a new feature that is now on the Cobalt3 and Sage Themes. On your artist page is a new link called All Song Reviews. This will sort all your Song Reviews from newest to oldest. It comes in handy when you want to see who has reviewed your music and hopefully go and review their music!

The formatting is not entirely where we want it yet so there will be some changes on it but it is functional.

Also we added a Chat Room back to the site. We dumped the previous chat we had when we upgraded the forum. This will require you to use your iMusicScene login and password. The link is at the top of the page. We still need to add some stuff to it but it is fully functional now so feel free to use it.

Hope these features help!

Dazed

Hello Everybody!

By Doctor C, 2007-11-30

I finally decided to open my page at this wonderful site. I've been a loyal member of the fantastic Mixposure family for some time. I don't usually change my loyalties easily but unfortunately, it appears that Mixposure is really dead this time. (What a shame!) Some of the pillars of the Mix community have migrated to this site, and it looks like every day I see more familiar faces here. I was still pretty reluctant to opem my own page mainly because I don't have much of a new material - these days I do mostly collabs with Gary Carciello and Rob Grant. Please check out their pages for our latest work. But some of my friends (including my dearest bandmate Rob) were rather insistent, so here it is...

The songs you will find here are instrumental tracks heavily influenced by classical and folk music, and firmly anchored in the 70s classic rock traditions. I like the idea of blending different styles, musical techniques and approaches together. Even though I have been fiercely criticized for my "experiments", I do not consider my tracks experimental in any way. I simply believe that the great Bach could sound very well in hard rock, and that music from the Caucasus Mountains and Mississippi delta could merge to form an exciting track.

Welcome to my site

By asuhowe, 2007-11-29

After about a 12 year absense from playing and recording, I decided it's about time to start laying some new things down..

I have included the last CD I put out with my first and only band "Balloon Man" (Album Titled ANGER MANAGEMENT). We were based in Seattle from 1990-1995..

This album was put out in 1995 and we tried to keep it old school metal even in the face of the Seattle Grunge onslaught that was going on at the time....

Strange hearing some 12 years later, but, I think it holds up pretty well..

The recording buried the singer pretty bad, but, we were sans singer for a few years, and got used to having the band cranked way up on the mix.. Most of the songs were written before we had a singer, so he had to kinda fit in lyrics in between the jamming..

I will also be including some new stuff (probably instrumental) from time to time as it gets written and recorded.

Let me apologize in advance for my lack of recording skills.. I just bought a new mini studio, and am still figuring out to lay down drum samples, get a tasty guitar tone, and learning to lay down decent bass tracks..

I have had several comments so far that on the first new track I recorded called "chainsaw" stating that the guitar was way too loud ;) Well, I guess that's a GOOD start!

Cheers!
