Oh, right, I thought about that...now what would have happened if the Allman Brothers Band had a lady artist...maybe a bad comparison.
In our case, I guess brothers is infered as sisters too. So join in if you have a song idea blues-wise. I think today most folks figure 'brothers' same as saying sisters...just my opinion. 'Brothers and Sisters in Blues' -well maybe brainstorms that one.
Thanks again. -Vesa.
Thanks Margot. You did, as Rapster said, say it well. Gotcha. Kool.
Thanks so much for the way you put it. Great! Bye for now.
Vesa....I was just wondering...What about the "sisters" then, are they exclude..? Just a thought... ehheeee
I think what you've written is brilliant margot..
Hiya Vesa...I think music should sound how the creater of it intended it to sound...If you`ve achieved that then you`ve achieved what you set out to do..It does`nt really matter if the listeners hear it your way or not, as long as you know you`ve achieved what you set out to do and that YOU know it sounds the way it was intended to sound, then all`s well..
Just my few pennies worth..
Peace n love Mags
Thanks Jim, Margot and Rapster.
Think about this: what is music supposed to sound like to everyone? New,old, new efx. old efx. new atmosphere-old atmosphere. dig it. Thank goodness we have so many decades to work from.
Figure this-it's a nite club setting esp. when you hear this and just Hooker and my opinion that the reverb is akin to the club smoky scene of 1960...trying to feel like Elmore James did, tha's all. The feedback is all good; let's play on. Thanks all so much; sincerely.
-Take care. -Vesa. Bye the way, this concept of ours does not lend itself to just Hooker and me. It's open to anyone being apart of any or all of us. If you have a blues/fusion idea, then it may fit in with 'Brothers in Blues' group. Bye for now.
peace n love mags
oh yeah? love me some blues dudes..
I just wanted to make sure all were clear on the fact that Nigel did no mixing, to be quite to the point, that he did not mix. I mixed & Nigel took out the buggy hisses, cleaning out the sound. So anyone oblivious to reverb, and old sound issues, it was me mostly with Hooker's blessing to give it that vintage sound, reverb, like we are in a hall or pub.
Thanks Nigel. And thanks to everyone for listening. It's a concept folks; We could not make up our minds who's site it should be on...so thus the Brothers in Blues' concept. We welcome anyone to play in the genre. That's another purpose; not just me and Hooker.
Apprciated. -Vesa.
