Well, just ‘cause Simon says,
Doesn’t mean that it is so.
I took me some time, but I finally know:
Man, I really hate that show!
Yeah, it’s not American Idol,
It’s only all American LOL,
A plastic dream and spin machine,
The making of a manikin doll.
America’s Idol
Is just the TV,
And America’s Idol
Means nothing to me!
Well, TV makes remote,
Even while it brings you near,
You always become like the thing you love:
I don’t know anything that’s more clear.
Having eyes we can see not,
Having ears we are deaf.
Having hands we are helpless.
Very cool, Cam! Great lyrics, which speak to me directly! I can't go to bed, because my wife is watching the final show tonight. I can't stand the show! LOL!!! Excellent topic, excellent performance!

I love social commentary songs. Nice work on this one.

So so....true. I don't watch American Idol. It might as well be called America's Idle. I suppose it gives an avenue for some talented singers to become successful but it's not entertaining to me because of the all hype and explotation of the money machine.
About your song: I enjoyed the listen and the opening choir is a good choice to promote the lyric theme of the A. Idol. I like the chord change in the chorus and again the use of the choir there. Excellent listen!
