You remind me of this guy named J.Rice a fellow site artist I know. Vocally your similar and as far as arrangement very similar in style also. My main critique would be to not add so much reverb on the vocals so the cadence of your vocals stand out and the lyrics can actually be heard. I like the direction of this track..not sure if its R&B but this definetly stands out as a POP track. Thank you for posting...and watch that reverb my friend. You want to build a relationship with your listeners not distance them. Look fwwd to hearing more from you.

Well this ticks all the boxes for arrangement, recording and singing but as more of a comment on the genre than this song in particular, I have noticed how R&B (which I think is soul), ironically, having appropriated the name of a blues based music, seems to have done everything to eradicate the blues and no amount of elaborate vocal pyrotechnics can change that. Still, NMGB a good listen. ftlpope

<p>This all started for me Sept. 2004 after i started College at the age of 18. In the beginning, I didn't realize my talent for writing or singing, I just always had a passion for music and I wanted to try creating my own. I met with a producer (one of my college mates) and he gave me a beat to write to and thats exactly what I did. I wrote my first song called "I Will". That used to be my jam... I remember the day I recorded it, I took it back to my room at about midnight and called my mother up on the phone and I was like, "Momma listen to this." At first she was trying to get off the phone talking about she was sleepy but I insisted and made her listen. She was surprised. She just couldn't believe it. That was the start of growing my hobby singing into a passion. I have now created 70+ songs on my own. I produced, wrote, arranged and sung them. (The beats have been provided from various sources.) So in my short time of experience, I can truly say that I have grown and that I still have a long way to go but I will never give up on my newly found dream. Just GOTTA MAKE IT... I have now finished College- Architecture as of August 2008 and I have proven to myself that I can accomplish my goals. Now that I have added Music to the list, theres only one way to go from here. UP... So to the supporters, "See ya'll at the top"- For the haters, "I can only be me and thats who i'm gone be so hate me please..." Thank all of you for checking out my page and supporting my music. My ultimate mission here is to inspire and thats what I'm gonna do if it kills me!
