“Please just end this pain,” her screams were merely echoes I barely heard. “What have you to gain seeing the face of my child before his time of birth?”
But I tell myself that this is just my work.
For the sake of science and stability I kept my heart cold and buried my conscience deep. I will do all that it takes and be whoever I must be
I've done nothing wrong. I did what I believed.
Oh God, have I done something wrong?
Can we be saved after all the choices we've made? Who would take our blame with such a heavy price to pay? Will we end our days with red hands and blood upon our graves?
For the sake of knowledge and security we believed in only what we can see. We fashion morals and truth that selfishly tell us how we should be.
I've done nothing wrong. I've done all I need.
Is there something more? Please, please tell me.
Can we be saved after all the choices we've made? Who would take our blame with such a heavy price to pay? Will we end our days with red hands and blood upon our graves?

This song came about after thinking about what happened at Unit 731. For the sake of furthering what's known about the human body and to keep their country strong during wartime, the people at Unit 731 did horrible things.
For what we think is beneficial to us, are we willing to do anything to anyone in order to succeed and get what we want? Do we give ourselves more credit than we deserve?
Search wikipedia for "Unit 731". It will give light on what might be a weird and cryptic first stanza.

Wow this sounds awesome! Some seriously great guitar playing and vocals fit perfectly! I also like the build up to the chorus and the guitar solos intertwined. Excellent tune.

This my sort of stuff - big non standard guitar chords and a good chunk of melancholy. Great tune with my only gripe being that I would have preferred a bass guitar. ftlpope

With driving guitars, haunting melodies, engulfing bass lines, and hard hitting drums, Charles Lee is a rock musician who puts all his honesty and emotion into each and every track. His lyrics, though dark and emotional, seek to point listeners to the possibility of salvation and hope that cannot be achieved by the things that we do in this world, but by something has already been done for us.

All tracks thus far have been recorded in nothing more than a regular room, with Garageband, a Blue Snowball microphone, Fender American Stratocaster guitar, and Charles' own quirky voice.

The 4-track EP "If Only It Would Rain Answers" was released in November 2009 and featured Charles' early material. It was recorded during a time when he was still trying to get his footing on proper recording and mixing techniques.

Charles is currently working on a full length album titled "Road to Calvary" that's set to be completed by mid 2010. All tracks will be posted at http://music.charleslee.com as they are completed.
