This is the one that REALLY needs to be turned up loud...and there's a long story to it! A few years ago, one of the sites I hung out at had a guy called Jeremy Marten; better known on the net as J-Mart. He is a STUNNING guitarist ala EVH and I asked him if he'd like to do a kinda 'battle' collaboration. The reasons for this were that I was a big fan of his playing and hoped that the challenge would raise my game. Secondly, he is a big fan of vintage Marshalls and has a modded Roccaforte 70's head (BIG $'s!) whereas I swear by my PODxt. The idea was to see if anybody could tell which was which and so we did this track. It was a big hit and got used by an internet radio station called 'Hard Rockin' 80's' for a NWOBHM show hosted by one Grinder. I've lost touch with Jeremy now but I always held onto the recording and thought it would be fun to see how different I sounded 4 years on so what you hear here is all me but with a four year gap! I was definitely a more agressive player then and old age is starting to show when it comes to the fast licks! I named it 'Inner Demons (Fighting Myself)' as I figured thats exactly what it was...a figth to try and outdo myself! TURN IT UP LOUD!

Mighty fine musicianship here, Chris. You (your now you, and your younger you) and your Pod XT sound just fine to my ears. Cool tune, too. Very well done, good sir.

I personally think that this is one of the best bits of self indulgence I've heard in years. Your both good, and to be honest whoever did the backing gave you a fantastic vehicle to make this work. Enjoyed this one well done.

This is a great track, I see a big future for you here at Mixposure.com

Thank you VERY much...originally it was a duel with another dude and he IS SMOKIN' so I figured I'd better get my finger out! Cheers. Chris.

Man, you got it goin on in this, my friggin head is spinning. It just keeps hitting higher and higher peaks. I like how you mute on and off at the right time in your runs. This thing just burns up the road from start to finish. I thought you really hit your stride at 3:11, but on 2nd listen...you hit it about 4 times...lol

I have been playing guitar since I was 10 and I'm now very old! I teach full-time in local schools and at my home studio. I write lots of material both by myself and in collaboration with people from all over the world. I am primarily a guitarist but also play and teach bass, some keys and program drums using Acid Pro and EZ Drummer...a match made in heaven.

In the 80's I was a member of a heavy metal band called Black Rose and we did a couple of albums and toured the UK and a bit of Europe. A couple of years ago we got the bug again and the original band (minus the bass player) is now finishing up 12 songs for a new album project. All this written and recorded via e-mail. When it's finished we'll probably go the download route rather than cd...they are dead these days ain't they???

As far as any engineering skills...well, I take a pretty direct route in recording and am using stone age gear (Cakewalk 9.0 primarily) so as far as EQ'ing and adding fairy dust with plug-ins, I just don't and that means my songs are not as shiny as they could be. At the moment I'm putting songs up that use backing tracks though I do have some original material (about 15 songs) tho not sure of copywrite etc so until then it'll be this mish-mash...apolgies for that!

As a last note, I'm still finding it impossible to upload anything and so far Daze has been the guy helping me out but I'm sure he's going to get fed up with that! I tried to embed some videos from youtube but that didn't work so here is the main page url...

http://www.youtube.com/user/wahwah666 or simply type wahwah666 into the search engine at youtube.

Cheers.
Chris.
