This is a pretty spacey, ambient sort of blues with some funky elements. Hard to describe, but I like how it turned out. Lots of delays were harmed in the making of this track! The drums, bass and keyboard-like rhythm guitars were done by a friend and I added at least three layers of guitar over the top of that with some temp-sync'd delays and some phase-shifter -- I was consciously trying to "play the delay", to get the repeats/feedback from the layers working off and with each other. A tricky mix challenge to get something happening spacially with this many guitars going on, while retaining the hypnotic qualities of the bass and drums. 'Hope you like it a little! --Clay

Liked this one, catchy little rhythm sequence supporting an atmospheric guitar jam. Very nice work

Quite unusual blues tune - very ambient/post rock - great production and compelling groove. Very enjoyable. ftlpope

Kinda like the idea, a heavy blues guitar sound over easy laid back & Jazzy sounding dance track.
Gives the feel a freshness which quite consistent and unchanging for the arrangement.

I'm a midlife blueshound who hasn't been in a band since high school, when my main ambition was to sound as much like "Get Yer Ya Yas Out" as possible. Still workin' on that in my self-taught way, but except for an ocassional open mic blues jam most of my playing time now is over backing tracks created by myself or online friends from some of the communities I frequent. At my site over at Soundick (which never seems to make you throw anything away) there are now over 500 of such efforts archived. That's a lot of recording practice, but only a marginal increase in playing chops.

I bring most of the very best stuff over here when I remember to do it, so the things here generally stand the test of time to me. Elsewhere I'll tackle anything from blues to rock to jazz to funk if I can find a way in, but the results don't always merit (or reward) repeated listen.

Fun for me, but as they say: your mileage may vary!

Thanks for stopping by. I promise to review your stuff "real soon".
