Drums, bass and buried Strat arpeggios came from a backing track by my friend Paul. I added some accoustic riffing done on a Baby Taylor, some phasey tremolo Keef chords done on a five string Nashville Tele and then a lead on that guitar that was limited to the "middle" three strings since they're where I know where I am. Some (too much, really) went through a wah. I fear I should have cut the whole thing shorter by quite a bit, but I was getting into the sort of J.J. Cale groove once I got going. Perhaps more fun to play than to listen to!

I'm a midlife blueshound who hasn't been in a band since high school, when my main ambition was to sound as much like "Get Yer Ya Yas Out" as possible. Still workin' on that in my self-taught way, but except for an ocassional open mic blues jam most of my playing time now is over backing tracks created by myself or online friends from some of the communities I frequent. At my site over at Soundick (which never seems to make you throw anything away) there are now over 500 of such efforts archived. That's a lot of recording practice, but only a marginal increase in playing chops.

I bring most of the very best stuff over here when I remember to do it, so the things here generally stand the test of time to me. Elsewhere I'll tackle anything from blues to rock to jazz to funk if I can find a way in, but the results don't always merit (or reward) repeated listen.

Fun for me, but as they say: your mileage may vary!

Thanks for stopping by. I promise to review your stuff "real soon".
