Honey I thinking that maybe this year We could do something different for our Christmas cheer What do you say; we could give it a try Drop off Sparky with the neighbors, buy some tickets and fly. It’s summer time now south of the equator Let’s go dear, please don’t say later I’m sorry honey; I know this comes without warning But if we pack now we can be there in the morning. Just this once, let’s spend Christmas in Rio Sink our toes in the sand and sip on Margaritas We’ll forget the snow and mistletoe We’ll become the people that we knew long ago Take a shot, let’s spend Christmas in Rio Give the kids a call; tell our bosses “Hey we’ll see ya.” We’ll forget the mall and Santa Claus It would make me so happy baby just because All I want is a getaway for Christmas You and me getting out of here All I want is a getaway for Christmas A Getaway is all I want this year. No red nosed deer no Bedford Falls No gift wrap no popcorn balls No Ebenezer Scrooge and no Tiny Tim No candy canes, no caroling NO ornaments no ribbons no bows Nobody dressed up like Eskimos No nutcracker and no cheese logs No fruitcakes and no egg nog. All I want is a getaway for Christmas You and me getting out of here All I want is a getaway for Christmas A Getaway is all I want this year. I know you’re thinking that I’ve lost my mind But life’s too short to do the same thing every time Please this once no lights no trees Just you and me and an ocean breeze No sales clerks no display cases There’ll be no fighting for parking spaces And we won’t need a thing but a few suitcases And we won’t give gifts except the smiles on our faces. Get out of here Frosty You go away Grinch See ya later Charlie Brown Santa’s sleigh is in a ditch.

When this started I wasn't liking the vox at all. The timing was loose and slightly off key in a few spots but as the song moved on I found myself starting to dig the ruffness of the vox. Sort of reminded me of some Alice Cooper's early stuff. Overall, I think it works quite well!

Cool song - the vocals reminds me of neil young - he to had the straight in your face vocals.
Funny track - sounds like a beer drinking christmas.
Peace

Oh, I don't know --- yeah the vocals are off track, but it works for me. It's that kind of song that sounds like it should be done with the loose vocals. Pretty funny song, and a lot of fun to listen to. Persoanlly, I'd leave it like it is.

Good music, like the humor.Mix is decent, vocals need something, maybe re-eq,or a little touch of reverb.Timing sounds strange on the lyrics in spots too.
Peace,
