By the age of two, he had already won 2 talent shows at the Holmes Ave Preschool talent show, singing &lsquo;Feliz Navidad, in both English and Spanish.&nbsp;Born the penultimate child of four, he was the only one born with a soul synonymous with music.&nbsp;He was always trying to sing every song that played on the radio, whether he knew the words or not.&nbsp;Rocking back and forth in the back seat of his mothers&rsquo; car, he would groove to the sounds of Donny Hathaway, Al Green, Stevie Wonder and the like.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Dominique was always a low key, quiet kind of child, who kept to himself. The only sounds you heard was when he was making beats on the surfaces of walls, tables and on anything that sounded good.&nbsp;He always had a love for music since his household was filled with tunes from artists from B.B. King to Donny Hathaway to BlackStreet.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>He was raised by his mother and lived with siblings that consisted of 3 boys and 1 girl. His father left from his life when he was just 3 years old and throughout the years, has only seen him once or twice. It was a difficult time growing up without a father and music was his great escape, saving him from the bad elements the streets had to offer, such as drugs, gangs, jail and possibly an early death At the age of fourteen, he started rapping with friends, creating mock groups and penning rap songs, that led to hot teen tracks such as Roll Wit Me and Teenage Party, a rap song about teenage partying while the parents were away. Dominique discovered during this time that not only could he rap and sing, but also, write.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Years later, he would team up with 2 hot producers, XB and Toonz, who recorded a few rap songs until they learned that R&amp;B was Dominiques forte, and when he was most passionate.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This led to R&amp;B hits like Right There; Get to know her and So Far Away.
