Tequila and lime Such a good time My everlasting sunshine Tequila and lime Such a good time
I don’t know what I’m going to do The only colors in my world Are different shades of blue I used to be hers, she used to be mine But now it's just tequila and lime
I don’t know what I’m going to do The only colors in my world Are different shades of blue
So, keep your voice down Or you’ll wake the woman up She hates it when I come home late Third night in on a four‑day drunk Let’s give the poor thing a break

A Jones For Self‑Destruction is a dark Americana / alt‑country EP — four songs from the quieter, rougher corners. If you’re into gritty storytelling and folk‑noir shadows, give it a listen.
A little light in a dark stretch. Not the kind that saves you — just the kind that reminds you you’re still here. It’s me holding onto a moment that felt warm, even if it didn’t last long enough to change anything.

I really dig the acoustic guitar lively recorded sound on this wonderful song! Contrast in the arrangement is perfect.

An excellent song Eric....the lyrics bring back some memories that I tried to forget a long time ago. A story that I'm sure many of us outlaws can relate too. I like the jump up when the solo section kicks in. Super vocals and the harmonies at the outro are perfect. Nicely done!

What a damn good song, Eric! It's great to see E. Lee Hawkins was finally paroled.

Ê Lee Häwkins makes dark Americana from the quiet, rough corners — slow‑burn songs shaped by long nights and unflinching honesty. His work carries a touch of Townes Van Zandt’s spirit in the way the stories cut close and stay raw. A Jones For Self‑Destruction is his newest step into that shadowed terrain.

Thank you, friends — @moequinn, @jimsae, @farrell‑jackson. Appreciate you all.
