Far out part chilled, part uptempo rocking wordless vocal track featuring the complex, layered vocals of two females, one making her recording debut. Features some uptempo, distorted guitar riffs, drum 'n' bass sections, birdsong recorded from the garden and more.
I don't know what sort of genre this is and had a hard time choosing one to put it in. But it is an epic, constantly changing journey.
A rare track in which all the bass comes from the bass guitar. Most of my tracks are a combination of bass guitar playing, keyboard bass or guitar playing detuned an octave or two.
Two programmed acoustic drumkits provide almost all the drums: there is one jazzy cymbal drum loop during the section that transitions to drum 'n' bass. The same section also features a mouth solo that sounds somewhere between a harmonica and a trumpet. There is a subtle glitch-like effect on the drums that can be heard for about a minute starting on 4:50.
One keyboard instrument can occasionally be heard, for instance right at the end as the music is winding down.
The track is really the second half of another, much jazzier piece to be uploaded sometime soon. Both feature some of the same vocals.
I think this really needs mastering properly as the final sound is not great and definitely too quiet.

Thanks, Bustert. Made this a few years ago and really need to update it as the mix isn't good enough and the guitars really need some EQ. How did you find this track on the site? People rarely find my stuff.

For anyone that's already heard this: I updated it a few months ago and extended the intro by 15 or 20 seconds so it's now more ambient and beautiful. There's also a longer first drum 'n' bass section which is quite different from the second main d'b' section so well worth checking out. I added a total of about a minute to the track's length and definitely improved what is one of my favourite pieces of music that I've ever made.

Mista Perez: Yes, a serene intro that I hope accurately foreshadows what is to come later in the track - especially that rather beautiful guitar tone that I get through lowering the attack through my Electroharmonix POG2 pedal. You'll hear it used often later on.
The track is really part 2 of a much jazzier track that I'll be posting when I'm happy with it. It uses some of the same vocal phrases and has much jazzier drums. I thought I'd kind of ironed out the jazz from them in this track (it's the same drumkits and tempo) but I guess not. Sounds good anyway.

A Very serene intro. The percussion very jazz oriented with an ambient feel to the music. Well done. I like the change of direction musically as the track progressed.

TinRaven - Thanks for checking it out. I don't listen to Gong but am a big Ozric Tentacles fan, whose guitarist and founder is a big Gong and Steve Hillage fan. Can you point me to any particular album or song that is similar to this track? You might think I would like it!
