“Just your everyday guy,” says Eric Lee, “I believe hard work and doing what’s right is most important. You should always stay true to who you are”.

Eric Lee hit the Country Music scene in 2012 vowing to stay true to his roots. He was the son of a sawmill foreman and pastor, and a mother who was a homemaker, which is where Eric learned his values. Lee had grown up in tiny Rupert, West Virginia, where he worked on his parents' small farm and enjoyed an archetypal American rural childhood. He started singing as early as two years old, and at thirteen he was asked to sing for his father’s church. He sang gospel songs in church but spent the rest of his time listening to country music, studying the genre inside and out, focusing on old and new country all at once. He knew what he was doing, too. Lee may have been from a small town, but he wasn't naïve, and when he enlisted in the Air Force after high school, he was prepared and already eager to start his next band. Soon after arriving in Germany he met songwriter Jim Fruk, and the two began writing together, patiently waiting for the right break.

After serving four years in the Air Force, all the while touring in Germany and Southwest United States, Lee made his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he fronted several bands on the Grand Strand. Lee eventually ended up in South Alabama where he signed his first record deal with SRN Entertainment, part of EAE Management Group. By then, Lee had assembled a pretty solid band, which led to him being accepted by Red Bull Soundstage, a Top 3 Finalist in the Dodge Dart Challenge, and fourth in the nation, out of 250,000+ submissions, for Bud Light Battle of the Bands.

Due to Lee’s quick success, he was asked by The American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Autism Society of America to help with their campaigns. He decided to dedicate two years performing at benefit concerts to help raise awareness and over $300,000 combined for these charities. His first single, "Small Town Ways," was released February 2012 which propelled him to the #1 Country Artist Spot in the Wiregrass Area. A second single, "Alabama Sun," was released in July of the same year. It helped him maintain the top of the charts in the Wiregrass and paved the way for his debut album, Southern Redneck, which earned rave reviews from critics and quickly became a success. Lee’s music truly shows off his innate talents with his own unique flavor. Eric is a consummate storyteller and fans love that part of his music. With many exciting adventures still ahead, Eric Lee will be in the heads of enduring fans from every corner of this world.
