There it is the side of a man he wants to hide His very strength and competence is questioned and denied His tears are always private cause he can't be losing face An outlet for his sorrow seems to be a distant place!
Chorus: Don't go thinking you are worthless Don't go thinking no one cares Everybody has their moments Everybody despairs Click your fingers, sense the rhythm Clap your hands and tap your feet Turn those blues into some sunshine Watch the sadness retreat.
There it is the moment that a women tends to fear Perception of her partner like a fog which cannot clear She finds she's losing faith cause she cannot make him see The yearnings of a woman's inner sensibility
Chorus
There it is the friction and the giving of some ground A middle way or compromise, they knew it must be found Then people gather round them and the music starts to swing Lifting up their spirits it can take away the sting

I remember writing this song on the day that I bought a new casio keyboard. I was feeling pretty low but for no real reason. However, the writing of this song purged me of all that and left me feeling hopeful. You'll see it in the lyrics!

Geoff Davis is a singer and songwriter of rare talent. He was born in Bristol in the UK and lived there for most of his life. However, in 2009 he moved to Nuoro in Sardinia, Italy and still lives there with his Italian wife. In the past he has fronted the pop/rock band The Freudian Slippers and the acoustic based trio Davis, Edwards & Riley, the latter often having the acclaimed violinist Graham Smith (formerly of String Driven Thing and Van Der Graaf Generator) as a guest at their gigs. A number of his songs have been broadcast on BBC Radio and he has also performed his material, along with Dave Edwards, Syd Riley and Graham Smith, on British television.
Geoff's Album Ancient Wisdom, Modern World displays his talent as a singer and a songwriter with its wide range of musical styles, brilliant lyricism and variety of vocal techniques.
About a year ago he joined the Nuoro based band Optimistic Sound who perform a mixture of classic English, American and Italian rock, blues and soul music.
