Wight Hot Pipes. Yes a band with a difference, a sound that should be heard more. They are very good at what they do, a good show and a very friendly presence. I saw them in Portsmouth and they are good at involving the audience, both in participation, drumming for them by selection from audience, and joining in on songs. The band is mostly based on the Isle of Wight, just a short ferry journey across a small water stretch, from mainland England, easily accessible from Lymington a few miles away from my home. I hope you enjoy them and pass on the good news and music.

Ian is a local musician, I say local, that is local to Southampton, with an incredible amount of talent. He does excellent covers but he is in his element writing and singing his own material. I have been lucky enough to see him play at a couple of venues. I was that impressed I had to do a little research, and because of my findings I contacted him to ask if he would mind me doing a post on him and his music. May I suggest that everyone checks out his links to be able to enjoy more of what I have posted here.

I asked Ian if he would like to add some personal words and he replied with the statement
"Ah okay cool. Well I'm a singer/songwriter from Southampton specializing in acoustic music with strong vocals at the forefront. My music is typically played with passion, and emotive by nature. I released by debut EP "Seven Notes" in August, and have just started work on my new EP which I'm looking forward to. I've been performing in a wide variety of places especially over the last 6 months. I'm looking forward to further promoting myself and playing wherever I can during 2014. My point of contact is through my ianbookermusic fb page, but you can also find out more about me on my website (www.ianbookermusic.com) where there are links to my you tube, Soundcloud, Twitter etc. Cheers "

Heads, Hands and Feet.

This band has been one of my favourites from the start. I became aware of them because of the music but being a guitar player the lead guitar player in this band was and is one of my top ten list of guitar players. Albert Lee.
One day in 1976 I was walking through the streets of Twickenham in Middlesex England. I was looking for a particular music shop, one that sells vinyls and cassette tapes. I was looking for Old Soldiers Never Die cassette by Heads Hands and Feet. Not only did I find the shop, I found the album, [vinyl] i also found another cassette of a band that I loved,, Elastique by Stretch. Maybe a post for the future. You all will love them also.
The above is from the Album ‘Tracks’ Hope you like them enough to check out for more, they have done some really great stuff. Enjoy my friends and Thank you.
Days of Summer
Wednesday 9th October 2013.
My little piece of the last and dying part of my summer. My porch and rocking chair is on the verge of being made redundant for the next few months. Enjoy these wonderful songs of differing sounds and era. As an Englishman it is a little bit disappointing that I could not find any British artist to fulfill my want for this post. Hope you enjoy my selection, I love them all.

This site of mine, is for all music styles and tastes. Sharing it with as many people as possible. The audience at the moment covers America, Canada and the UK. The audience is getting larger all the time.
We all know how music affects us emotionally, whether it is slow, upbeat, romantic or fun, and then there is also the same song covered by different artists. How they portray it and each one sends a different emotion, thought or feeling even though thhe song is actually the same one.
So pop along and see if you would like to be part of this new venture.
As is said the music for all, so no matter your taste or style, all is welcome.
