Song Lyrics
Diving
Written by: Gilded Lily
Diving into nowhere to findsomethings out there Diving into nowhere to findsomethings that just ain't thereDisaster is...
Diving into nowhere to find somethings out there Diving into nowhere to find somethings that just ain't there
Disaster is fear and what's fear is certainly near solution nowhere, solution nowhere, a man walks a million miles for a million years to find something out there a place of his own, some place to call his home.
Hey man I ain't trying to step on your toes I'm just trying to make it to worlds unknown do you know?
Diving into nowhere to find somethings out there Diving into nowhere to find somethings that just ain't there.
Feeble hollow body minds Don't ya know the cry's of deny Denial breeds anger acceptance is the only answer here.
Hey man I ain't trying to step on your toes I'm just trying to make it to worlds unknown do you know?
Diving into nowhere to find somethings out there Diving into nowhere to find somethings that just ain't there.

Very good vocals; lots of great expression emphasis in your fine lyrics. You have an original singing style, really carries the song..."Something out there", repeated is neatly effective. Fine guitar playing; esp. soloing, both guitars complimenting well; well arranged & a good sound mix. Great backup.
EXCELLENT composition. Love this. Worth more listens just to hear your vocal range rock this tune.

Looks like I'm kinda late in the game on this one. But I do have some new comments to throw on the table anyway, I guess. ____ I'm feeling like a perfect merge of classic rock and modern rock- Something not often done, in an ear-pleasing way, that is. Bravo on that.____ I'm really digging the vocals that drive on through the whole track. BUTTT!!!! Stop the car on that for just a sec. _____Yes, the vocals ARE great, but it's one voice. You need to add in some harmonies to really bring this from great to AWESOME. Either way, nicely done!

Gilded Lily's core is comprised of Natalie Hibbert, a very soft-spoken songstress who was born in Middle-sex London, moved to NY, then on to sunny Ft Lauderdale Florida as a young adolescent. Natalie is a conviction-centered person; her strength comes from her beliefs. You can tell by Gilded Lily's song content that she possesses a worldly perspective, a good understanding of humanity, and firm values. You can hear the influences of her favorites in certain songs (Tracy Chapman, Incubus, Tori Amos) but she exudes her own. To hear her you can tell that she stands behind all that she sings and has entrenched her being, her soul, in those words. Mike "Buze" Busa, who moved from NY to Ft Lauderdale as a young child. Mike is a pure rock head, you could see having hung out with Black Sabbath in their prime; Mike is the "Just do it!" guy of Gilded Lily. He handles all the grudge work , he shoots the Lily videos, mixes the music, books the shows, produces the music and writes and plays guitar. Buze does more than play guitar; every cord and string means something for him in each song. Mike plays like he is making his guitar sing. Natalie and Mike found each other at a warehouse party, there began the development of mutual respect for one another's talents and a strong and enduring friendship whose foundation was based on their mutual love for and commitment to music. A few years later they added Chris Cefola on drums, Mike Derosa bass & Rob Ocello on keybords forming Gilded Lily. Gilded Lily offers the promise of being unlike anything you've seen before and captivating you in a way that revolutionizes your appreciation for music.
