Hi Ed
Mmm somber tale...
There but for the grace of god...
Well as always with Ed's music,my mind wanders...
I think there would have been a momment of pure calm a momment of golden light in the darkness.
Acceptance is the freeing of the spirit.
Beautiful piece and I am posative your friend has this on his mp3 player out on that lake you spoke of, and he smiles when it plays.
Beautiful.
Nigel.

Whoa Ed! The story behind this song certainly establishes expectations, which are instantly met by those guitar stabs and the keys. The water sounds in the middle chill to the bone. It is an honor to listen to the song, with it's intimate expressions of grief, pain and hope. You clearly loved your friend.

Ed, as you can read on your page I love this song. But now that I understand the circumstances behind this scene...just sort of blew me away. This was an excellent insight into it's creation and all the more reason why we should love it. I do....BLake

Your Ministry of Progrock (Grandprogrock) Hosts - Welcome!!!

Well, as I've said numerous times.......I love to listen as much as I love to play, and I now I get to have fun promoting again, as in the days of working in the record stores. I LOVE finding new artists and new music and I have found MIXPOSURE to be a GOLDMINE for PROGRESSIVE ROCK MUSIC.

I hope this Prog Rock Genre Thing catches on and we can do things to make it interactive. How? I don't know, but suggestions.....volunteers.....ideas.....anything will be GREATLY appreciated. In the meantime, my half-brain will be working away to come up with things to do or ways to promote our GREAT ARTISTS.
PEACE and PROG ON, Brothers......hehehehehe

~Rob

As Rob and I are building this page (now with 9 songs) I've come to realize how much I love it here. This has blossomed in a few short days into such a magical blend of progrock from such wonderful artists. I am hearing all sorts of styles, attitudes, vibes, approaches, and it's sweet music to my ears. In my book it's a testament to the beautiful creativity and imagination to be found inside this genre.

I also love hearing from the artists themselves. I think Joe in one of his comments here said that it moves artists more away from the 'virtual world' and closer to the real and personal world. Couldn't agree more. It really is a pleasure to be associated with this endeavor. We'll be attempting to cycle more progrock artists into the spotlight in the future. Happy listening to all!!

~Blake
