New York City
Don't fit right
Clothes too heavy
Shoes too tight.
Three thousand miles
From my true one
Lost in this crowd
I stand alone
You you lift me up...
New York City
Don't fit right
Clothes too heavy
Shoes too tight.
Three thousand miles
From my true one
Lost in this crowd
I stand alone
You you lift me up
Just a dream of you
Brings me on back to San Diego
And Im in your arms again
Six figure income
My ball and chain
Got what I wanted
Why all this pain
The love that I need
is so far away
Id give anything
to bring back the day

Hey Frank, long time no see ... well read
'Bring Me Back' is still doin' it for me! I haven't heard it for a long time now, it seems - and yes, I still love it. Superb performances all over; man that bass is beautiful. Lots of air and a great mix. Your voice is solid and complements this song wonderfully.
Glad I bumped into you in here - great place.
Heinz.

Bass really compliments the song! I thought you might pick it up after the bridge ,but it sorts of just ffffades away. Really sweet song looking for a fitting ending. Good work!

Okay I can't really say I've heard a whole lot of Steely Dan but if RG syas thats in there I'll take his word for it.
For me this is just totalling relaxing storytelling in musical form. The vocal performance/presentation is great .It has a warmness too it that is often lacking in music nowadays. In fact the whole mix is warm deep bass tone sitting nicely ounching slightly without making its presence overbearing. The guitar is very expressive and very very well played throughout. The acoustic is especially welcome and I'm really impresssed with the picked lines/phrases.They are beautifully played and recorded equally well...clear and rounded with just the softest hint of effect coming through.I've actually had to listen to this twice as I type because I'm afriad i may have missed something and because most of all i wanted to listen agian:
the little vocal lifts for the "you -you lift me up"line is excellent.A great little phrase performed really nicely.
I think what this needs to take up a notch is a gentle string accompanying the chorus and also filling the space a little more....the end could have a broad string rising up from behind the guitar solo part......really building the mood. But thats probably not the feel you were going for or you'd have already put that kinda thing in here.
A sincere track with depth and plenty of character really neat guitar riffs
Welcome and thanks for visiting my page. I hope you'll enjoy my tunes.

Welcome and thanks for visiting my page. I hope you'll enjoy my tunes.
Music is once again a big part of my life. I, for the most part, set my guitar down for a couple of decades but recently have found my way back. And I'm loving it.
Sweet tune, Frank. Very nice acoustic playing, good sir. Enjoyed the music.
