This song was written by my dear friend and former colleague, Shayne Barry.
Shayne "kicked my butt" real hard, and often, to push on with my music when I was just starting out and had no or little confidence in myself. I will be ever greatful to him.
It was Shayne's untimely passing, by way of a motorbike accident, which created the window of opportunity for the success I'm experiencing now with my career. Shortly before his passing, and unaware that I would lose him in only a matter of days, I asked if I could perform his songs, should anything ever prevent him from doing so. He said he would be honored if I did.I include this song now at all of my band and duo gigs. It warms to my very core when return audiences sing it along with me, not knowing his history or origins.I recorded this number at The Tone Temple Studios in Nov 2005. I would love to re-record it now that it has developed along with my vocals and sax playing.Guitar - Martin RilesBass - Michael TaylorDrums - Luke Davison (18 year old, at the time)

With a title like that I was expecting a laid back blues piece. The music just delivered exactly that, a nice easy going piece with a mellow mood to it. your vocal delivery is distinct and well phrased. sweet song well done

Fine lyrics as well !

I'm really digging the groove here. The backup vocals are tight and snappy and the lead vocal is just sweet and bluesy. As for the sax, well that's always good!
