Janey Neal, a singer/song writer, as well as an accomplished producer. One of the most unique, soulful, and unorthodox artists to emerge from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a catalog spanning from Neo Soul, to Rock, and even some Country/Folk music.

With her up-front, in your face, tell it like it is lyrics that listeners can connect to, along with a sultry, yet sweet and calming vocal presentation she is sure to soothe your soul.

Not only is she an accomplished singer, Janey also a formidable instrumentalist, playing the piano as well as an assortment of woodwind instruments.

She is a gifted and talented artist no doubt; as she writes her material, and takes the time to give it her personal touch that is unlike any artist in the industry today. Many have compared her to Annie Lennox, Sade, Macy Gray and other soulful Neo-Soul/R&B artist of old and new, but Janey is in a class all by
herself.

This mix of elements, gives Janey a very personal and unique style, one you can easily hear in her emotional, and diverse material. With her third album, All Purpose Music, Janey has experimented with some different genres while maintaining her original stlye and smoothness. My Superman, Just A Drop, Close Enough and Big Girl Stomp are more upbeat pop/dance tracks, while Across The Table, and Standby, seem to hold true to her original form of Neo- Soul. 

During the summer of 2013, Janey will be performing with the Cloud City Boyz and one of their new and upcoming and aspiring artists, Della. After a few years of being a busy mother of three beautiful children, she has taken a step to rekindle the passion and desire she has for music and rise above the boundaries she had previousally limited herself to. Look for her to be performing in venues in the Midwest as well as some new music videos to accompany the album, All Purpose Music.
