<p>Janicek is a group of Dutch musicians formed round lead-singer Jana Kostalova from Prague. Since 2002 the band arranges and plays Jana’s songs and some covers (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Edith Piaf). Jana’s music is influenced by blues, jazz and rock. She makes her caracteristic ‘Kostalovasound’ with a voice that is sometimes modest, sometimes loud and clear, but always full of passion. In May 2008 Janicek released the cd ‘Zizen’. In the same year the band made a tour through Prague. The band played also in Germany and had more than a hundred gigs all over Holland.
