Verse 1
As the sunrise kiss breaks the morning sky
And the twilight fades away
And the whispered sounds, of the trees abound
This new day
The sweet smell of pine and smoke entwine
And fills the air like a fresh cut rose
And these mountain scenes revive your dreams
With hope
Verse 2
As the sun climbs high in Adirondack skies
And it burns the mist away
And these mountain peaks, seem to speak
In their way
If you listen close you may hear the ghosts
Of cold nights and harder days
Greater men have died, trying to find
Their way
Refrain
Another day has come, high on this mountains dream
A different world so it seems
Another day to live, and oh I hope it lasts
But mountain dreams slip by fast
Break
Verse 4
As I sit on the edge of this brand new day
And gaze on Adirondack skies
The loon’s sing praise with their voices raised
With their cries
And the mirror on this lake reflect their souls
And they echo on its reach
And I pray in time I’ll come to find
What they teach
Verse 3
Now the path we take we may forsake
Different trails may turn us around
And the days end toil may seem to foil
Journey’s bound
So we drift in time to an undefined
Point which lies within
And we grasp our straws as this mountain draws
Us in
Refrain

A fine acoustic folk rock song! Some fine vocal harmonies and the acoustic/electric picking blends so well. Well done from long ago!

I really like the way you wrote this man, It reminds me of some of the stuff John Denver used to write, he was an incredible songwriter as well. The guitars in this are superb, the mix, the vocals, everything is just incredible. very tasty indeed!

Played for alot of years in basement bands doing bars and such. As life changed it's course towards wifes and kids, the guitars got dusty. As fellow members retired from their real jobs we decided to try it again but have some fun this time around. Well we did it for 3 years doing campgrounds and coffee shops and that was enough, tooooo old to haul equipment and not good enough to have a road crew, so I as others, decided to have some fun recording my tunes to the biggest audience anywhere, the internet. I live in Churchville, New York which is west of Rochester, matter of fact just down the road a peice from Razmuth. Thanks to Raz who found me on Sound Click and talked me into trying this site, good move. Many thanks to everyone on this site who have worked hard to create it and maintain it and give me the outlet I need.
