As I sit here by your side in fear
And I wonder what to do
For your eye’s are far away, and so oconfused
As the night time stars sail there course towards day
I cry a selfish tear,
For tomorrow’s day may take you far from here
Well they say it won’t take long, before
Your dreams are all but gone
And they say I shouldn’t worry, there’s no pain
But I can, see it in your tired eyes
When a memory comes alive
And your pain inside, as they fade away with time
So close your eyes and dream
Of all the things you’ve seen
Close your weary eyes and dream
For the waves of time are crashing in
And may wash away this scene, like
Sandcastles in the sand
As I sit and gaze in the mirror of life
And recall what has come to pass
And I wonder how much longer, memories last
Do you, even know my tearful face?
As your pictures tend to fade
Do you know my pain as you slowly drift away?
Now close your eyes and see
Your memories of me
Close your weary eyes and dream
For the tides of time have moved on in
And have washed away this scene, like
Sandcastles in the sand
As I sit here by your side in fear
For I know what must be done
For I made a vow, a pledge, so long ago
As these night time stars sail there course
towards day
I cry a helpless plea,
For tomorrow’s day has taken you from me
As I close my eye’s and dream
My mind hears past memories
A song, a word, the touch of your loving hand
And though the waves of time have crashed on in
You know I still can see, your
Sandcastles in the sand

This is very sweet, the instrumentals are a joy to hear. The melody reminds me of an early Byrds song. That aside this was a pleasure to listen to thanks

Played for alot of years in basement bands doing bars and such. As life changed it's course towards wifes and kids, the guitars got dusty. As fellow members retired from their real jobs we decided to try it again but have some fun this time around. Well we did it for 3 years doing campgrounds and coffee shops and that was enough, tooooo old to haul equipment and not good enough to have a road crew, so I as others, decided to have some fun recording my tunes to the biggest audience anywhere, the internet. I live in Churchville, New York which is west of Rochester, matter of fact just down the road a peice from Razmuth. Thanks to Raz who found me on Sound Click and talked me into trying this site, good move. Many thanks to everyone on this site who have worked hard to create it and maintain it and give me the outlet I need.
