Have You Had EnoughBy: J. Crafton & K. Bachman Growin up we knew a kid named Robby next doorWhen he became a man his country sent him to warNow his parents have the flag they got the day he returnedAnd a stone above his head is all that’s left that he earnedHave you had enoughHave you had enough
While fussin politicians from the comfort of homeSend our children out to make a stand but their not aloneThey leave behind their families with no dad in the nightAnd their kids grow up to be a pawn in another man’s fightHave you had enoughHave you had enough
We drive these SUVs you know we’re thirsty for oilThe special interest wealthy when they drill in the soilA Game they play is one of them starts crankin it backAnother one steps up a buck and picks up the slackHave you had enoughHave you had enough
While down in New York City there’s a building so fineWhere Diplomats are double parked and wasting our timeAnd taking all that’s out there with a snatch and a grabWhile leavin all the rest of us to pick up the tabHave you had enoughHave you had enough
The world it keeps on turning we’re like ants in a farmWe hear the voice of terror and we sound the alarmAnd most of us back here you know we just want some peaceWho was it said we had to be the whole world’s police

nice intro.. but i came to hear you sing lyrics expressing the title.. and i got what i came for.. meaningful lyrics for our time.. our human predicament.. I really like the progression with the major 7th/9th chord harmonies.. the expressive solo guitar makes lovely use of these.. of this song I haven't had enough but most certainly yes of the things of which you sing.. cheers john..

I've encountered in interesting phenomenon with this track, have you had enough. I listened to it earlier and left a review. Came back to hear it again, and truthfully, the appeal with which it grabs me is multiplied .
most people have bought an album from the shop and only after a couple or few listens have been able to discover it,, and after a few listens it becomes a fav. Your music here has that quality for me. That's a real good thing. Often times,, songs that you hear and totally like straight away,, are sugar coated somehow and those are the songs that often,, after you've had enough,, you don't want to hear anymore. but the ones that take a few listens to grasp,, endure through time.
Nice work Dog.!!!!

Really like this musically and some interesting guitar tones. You probably remind me of Gordon Lightfoot. I wonder what we'd come up with on a transatlanic together? Songs of the sea?

Ah, the fabled FABLE sound arrives at iMusicScene! Welcome, John! This song sums up the state of the wrold very well, and it does it in fine musical style. We may have had enough of this political garbage, but we can never have enough of your quality music. Keep making more, please.
