Really great pickin' -nice bright sound, sounds like a Gibson. Good thumb use, nice bass -has that feeling of 'Classical Gas', with a mix of Folk, Blues eclectic playing, like a mentor of mine -Leo Kottke. Very original and sounds so focused well. A real fave -glad I tuned in. Look forward to more. EXCELLENT.
Your new fan from the land-up-over. -Vesa.

Hey there John,I came from the front page where they told me you had some serious talent. So what can I say about this tune, superb picking on the guitar and the sound is real nice too I'm loving all the scratchiness which really shows the live attitude and lets the fact that this is a real recording come through.
Wonderfull playing some of those hung notes tail of beautifully.
I am seriously impressed by this piece.

John Welcome to iMS I am glad you came over and decided to hang out a bit. I loved your music from the first time I heard it. I love acoustic from the fact that you can't hide behind a ton of effects. This is just some fantastic playing.

Just sensational. Good enough to warrant my burning my guitar. Wonderful composition and playing. This is some of the best picking I've heard. Every note comes through crystal clear. Great change of pace at the 2 min mark and then ramping it up again. Just great!!!!!!!
Cheers

Wasn't sure what to expect from the title. Stunning! Not enough fingerstyle on this site. Wonderful ideas, beautifully played. You are very talented. More please!

Now this is some pickin' and your fingers are a flyin'. Love that steady little bass run that holds things together and the way you vary the tempo in the song. Again, another great listen and your skill is very obvious!

"His vocal songs show simple humor, yet say something profound about humanity". His tongue-in-cheek songs such as "Modern Man", "Thursday Night Open Mic", "Beyond Your Means", and "My Habits Are Killing Me" tell something of his sense of values as well as humor.
