I’ve Got a Lot Goin’ On
I’ve got a lot goin’ on, and I’m just barely hangin’ on,
I try to plan out everyday, ‘cause I don’t want to lose my way,
I wake up before the sun, still I ain’t gettin’ nothin’ done,
With all the stuff I got to do, isn’t there someone I can sue?
I can’t think about the pain, I can’t slow down for the rain,
Don’t have time to look around, don’t have time to settle down,
I’ve got a lot goin’ on,
No siesta for my eyes, no fiesta, no surprise,
I need to find my home, I need somewhere to be alone
I’ve got a lot goin on’, I got no strength to carry on,
It’s like I’m drivin’ everywhere, but I ain’t gettin’ anywhere,
What is it that I am? And is this runnin’ just a scam?
Got nowhere left to run, when will all the money come?
I’ve got a lot goin’ on,
I’ve got a lot goin’ on, and I ain’t doin’ no one wrong,
But the man keeps callin’ me, you know my livin’ ain’t for free,
But I gotta make a move, gotta find a better groove,
Until I’m breathin’ my last breath, up ‘til then I get no rest,
‘Cause no one’s lookin’ out for me, no one here to set me free,
All I am is just alive, can I do more than just survive?
I’ve got a lot goin’ on,
I’ve got too much goin’ on!
