excellent job on the tune guys. Edgey sound with enough changes to keep the listener interested. Great vox and some killer guitar tones.

Kodakid are a fresh and exciting band with a sound which can be best described as upbeat indie rock with a side helping of funk. The band strives to prioritise and captivate the listener, as anyone who has been to one of their energetic live sets can attest to. Their music is delivered with genuine passion and an unrivalled raw energy, an energy that finds it origins in the absolute confidence, belief and conviction that these boys have in their songs. Kodakid have been working hard for the past year to bring their spirited sound to the masses and this dedication is reflected in their steadily thriving fan base and ever growing media attention. They are receiving plaudits for their tight and technically accomplished performances and intelligently written songs, drawing inspiration from many styles and genres, a sound which is blended together cleverly for an audience clearly as important to them as their music. There is an undeniable spark within this group that makes them a truly exciting experience.

Lead singer Kev Power’s phenomenal rich vocals are superbly complemented by the zeal and skill of Alex Soikans on lead guitar, John Duignan on bass & backing and Tony Browne on drums. Formed in 2010, the momentum achieved to date shows this band's true class and potential.

Following a series of gigs in some of Ireland’s top venues Kodakid released their debut single ‘Pray for Some Luck’ which was made available via free download in March 2011. The release received a lot of local and national airplay as well as critical acclaim, including being reviewed in Hot Press Magazine’s Pick of the Fortnight.

Other achievements include playing high profile gigs in numerous Irish festivals and becoming a finalist in the Irish Daily Mail/TV3 'Fighting Chance' competition (winner announced in September). The band was also chosen to support The Noisettes on the Main Stage at the Manchester 'Great Getaway' Music Festival in the U.K and to open the Waterford Spraoi Festival
