First off. The vocals are impressive. Who's the singer? But - the lyrics aren't really clicking with me - seems a bit mainstreamified, "Sittin in the corner, wasting away. I won't be happy, how can I convey, I wanna see you cry." mostly repeats throughout the song. The guitar licks are very reminiscent of Muse, which is a win-win+extra-win-if-old-style-muse if you're going for mainstream, though.
That said, top notch production, top notch vocals, and some expert players meet rocking it out. 4.8 stars.

"Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, and... considered by some indie rock's premier 'underdogs'..., Leaving Venus has quickly become a formidable presence in that genre, picking up a mantle that many critics say couldn't be picked up again. With quirky, retro-influenced hooks (like the chorus of the infectious 'An Angel's Comedy'), Leaving Venus may be an underdog, but that's only one of the... reasons why we love 'em."

(from a review by Janice Hawbright)
