Song Lyrics
DIAMONDS AND DESIRE
By John Crafton
Rain wash this pain away, sunshine roll back the years
You don’t love me anymore
Broken hearts and angry voices
Bitter...
Rain wash this pain away, sunshine roll back the years
You don’t love me anymore
Broken hearts and angry voices
Bitter tears unfortunate choices
You don’t love me anymore
Blue like a diamond, red like desire
Rain wash this pain away, put out this fire
Rain wash this pain away, sunshine roll back these tears
I don’t love you anymore
Nothing better when it was good,
Tried and true, well it’s understood
But, I don’t love you anymore
Blue like a diamond, red like desire
Rain wash this pain away
Put out this fire
Rain wash this pain away
Sunshine hold back these tears
There’s no love here anymore
Think of all the time we wasted
Think of all the hurt we tasted
There’s no love here anymore
There’s no love here.

Great tone on that guitar, the quality of the recording here is excellent. The performance shines in the same way. A very accomplished piece well done

Another great track indeed. I can hear Loreena McKennitt, Sara McLachlan and Mary Chapin Carpenter in it.

Good lord...who is that guitar player...lol. I wish there was a way to tell you how much I really like what you brought to this song. Your interpretation and delivery of the lyric really made it your own. This was great fun and I'm very greateful for all the love and hard work you put in the project.
Thanks
John

Man, this had such a personal feel to it that I felt I was eavesdropping. Beautiful acoustic arrangement was just right for a hard hitting yet poignant set of lyrics. Exquisite vocal performance. Really classy piece of work. Congrats

I can always appreciate a good acoustic production because I know what a challenge it is to get right, and you've pulled it of beautifully. I really was pulled into this song from the start. Very nice melody and vocal.

Great lyrics and heartfelt delivery. The acoustic guitars draw the listener into the lyrics, and your vocal flutters right on top. Nice production on a great ssong.
